Disable/Delete any previous version of Colonial Charter, enable Colonial Charter Journey in the mod menu. 


CC: Journey does require a new game. 



Journey reflects a maturation of development of the Colonial Charter mod for Banished Game. Unlike in previous versions where we overhauled production and resources, with Journey you have more access to new buildings that utilise the existing chains. Many of the existing buildings have been revamped or replaced in entirety.

In CC: Journey you'll have an opportunity to build a truly rustic themed settlement in entirety, or using the new city wall kit and related new buildings you can build your own mini empire. We have added in all new pine tree models to the game as well as some new map types to expand the flavour of Colonial Charter. New start conditions are available that offer a variety of new challenges. We also remastered the forest audio, to allow a more natural, serene atmosphere.

We hope you'll enjoy playing Colonial Charter 1.7 - as usual, it was a lot of hard work involving many hours of creation and testing. Easily our most challenging mod to date. Friends and family were ignored for prolonged periods of "One... More... Turn..." as well as "I think this would look good... what happens if we add this new feature?". We hope to put the same amount of distance between you and your loved ones, for all the right reasons of course! :)

These are all included and therefore not needed if you're running CC.

Hello there,

I really want to use this fabulous mod but I don't understand how.
As it is said, it will only run on Banished 1.0.7, I currently have Banished 1.0.6 that I bought on GOG.com. I don't know how to get Banished 1.0.7 since I'm not on Steam.
In my current Banished Folder > GOG Games \ Banished I see two folders Win32 and Win64 both have WinData folders inside them. So if I add mods I don't know where to put them.
I have tried using the MegaMods, putting the pkm file in either Win32/Windata or Win64/Windata or even both, but it just crashed on me.
Same thing for Journey, it crashs.

I went also on  the page of Shining Rock Software to search for the beta 1.0.7 > http://www.shiningrocksoftware.com/2017-02-13-1-0-7-beta/ 
So I downloaded the BanishedPatch_1.0.6_To_1.0.7.170212.Beta.zip hoping this would solve my problem, added the files into my Banished folder.
Same thing, it's crashing.

I'm on Windows 10 1607

Would appreciate any help :)

Previous versions of CC shouldn't not be loaded with MegaMod, but this version should work fine.

You say this but the only game I played that crashed to desktop was with this enabled.  Now if there is a fix in CC 1.73 for this mod so it won't crash the run-time steam64bit.dll, that'd be great. but I don't see it listed.

Okay I seem to have a problem, with whats been DL'd from Google  the packed version says the unpacked size is 1,539,415,441 yet it is unpacking to 1,503,371 what gives? It has the correct time stamp on it?


it appears to be ok?  I just don't understand why its off so much?  even though the file is the correct says when it unpacks, is a lot of it just going into the game?

I have banished on steam version1.07beta. I have installed the megamod and this journey one. When I go to enable them in the mod section of the menu it comes up red like they are conflicting each other. Are they going to conflict each other? I tried allowing them both to be enabled but the game was taking forever to load so I had to restart my laptop. Is there away around this?

Both CC mods and MM mods are designed to be played together, both will show as red, this is normal, there are normally bits of shared code, files, so the red is normal.

To have them work most effectively please list them in the following order, if you don't have all the mods listed, then do the best you can. :)


  • 1.0.7 Compatibility
  • CC 1.74
  • MM 0.07
  • MM 0.07 Deco Pack

So, from top down in your mods list it will have the above order.  
If you run other mods they will need to either go above or below these 4 files, it will depend on the mods you are using.

The best way of enabling and running the game:

Load the game
Enable the mods
List the mods in the preferred order
Press OK
Wait for the screen to reload
EXIT the game (not quit)
Wait for a few secs for it to completely shut down
Load Banished
Check mods are still correctly enabled
Play your game

It takes a few extra minutes but it is crucial for stable game time that you do make sure you EXIT completely after changing the mods around.

Ok I know this sounds picky, but... when I use the debug to add coal, if you have a placer mine, or other gold/silver ore miner active, instead of added coal it adds gold and silver ore. Now thats not so bad, but if your debugging a building or map it causes slight issues.

There's nothing we can do about the Debug tool itself to fix it.  It's magic abilities are hidden from us.  Since the Materials (in Banished 1.0.6) or the Minerals (in Banished 1.0.7) kind of steals the Coal flag, what you described is exactly what will happen.

The debug tool isn't really adding a specific item to your inventory, but a category. Since in vanilla, Coal was the only resource in that category, it worked like you would expect. But when you add multiple things to a category that used to be single, little weird things happen.

Yes and yes... just tried again, and same result - fatal access violation.   On 1.75 as well

Mines working perfectly thank you. I had an issue with 1.74 where the laourers where emptying the stockpile, putting the resources on the floor nearby and then restocking the stockpile over and over again.  With the updaate so far this seems to have stopped, although have only played about 2 hours since. I also have to have the modpack above CC in the loading list, otherwise Jack & Jill and DVSS doesnt show up. PS another add on the Maritime trees, are excellent.
