About This File

Colonial Charter 1.75 will only work with the Banished 1.0.7 update.

A complete gameplay expansion. After countless hours of development and testing, we are proud to bring you Colonial Charter 1.7 - Journey

Manual Download:

After clicking Download you will be redirected to google drive files and see this icon downloadicon.jpg at the top right corner of a new page. Click it to download.

Steam Workshop Download for version 1.75:

Installing:
Disable/Delete any previous version of Colonial Charter, enable Colonial Charter Journey in the mod menu.

NEW GAMES ONLY:
CC: Journey does require a new game.

Introduction:

Journey reflects a maturation of development of the Colonial Charter mod for Banished Game. Unlike in previous versions where we overhauled production and resources, with Journey you have more access to new buildings that utilise the existing chains. Many of the existing buildings have been revamped or replaced in entirety.

In CC: Journey you'll have an opportunity to build a truly rustic themed settlement in entirety, or using the new city wall kit and related new buildings you can build your own mini empire. We have added in all new pine tree models to the game as well as some new map types to expand the flavour of Colonial Charter. New start conditions are available that offer a variety of new challenges. We also remastered the forest audio, to allow a more natural, serene atmosphere.

We hope you'll enjoy playing Colonial Charter 1.7 - as usual, it was a lot of hard work involving many hours of creation and testing. Easily our most challenging mod to date. Friends and family were ignored for prolonged periods of "One... More... Turn..." as well as "I think this would look good... what happens if we add this new feature?". We hope to put the same amount of distance between you and your loved ones, for all the right reasons of course! :)

Special Thanks in no particular order to the following people:

Have you tried loading any other mods?  If not, please try a smaller mod available here on the Forum under "Downloads". The new Docks mod is really nice; It too should be played with Banished Beta 1.0.7.

I'm having the same fatal access violation crash issue as Wallcroft. 1.0.7 GOG version, CC 1.75. I had the same issue trying to run the Mega Mod. I didn't have issues running CC1.71 on 1.0.6. I tested a small mod (llamas addition) and that worked fine, but I'm really not fond of the idea of manually adding each mod individually.

I play the game on Steam and I had the same error. By default Steam updated to v1.0.7 when the game launched, so I manually installed CC:Journey 1.7.5. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game multiple times, clearing hkey registries associated with the game, adjusted all video settings (by the way, my game had crash errors on launch if vsync is not enabled so you might want to check on that)- anyway, nothing seemed to work, except vanilla. After toying with it for hours, I didn't have any success until until I today went into the Steam settings and OPTED IN for the 1.0.7 beta, even though Steam already auto-updated the game on launch, I verified on Banished's main menu that it was v1.0.7 before selecting the beta option. Everything I had read for error on launch said to opt OUT of the beta but that may have been outdated information.

I know you're using GOG version and unfortunately I'm not familiar with GOG, but if there any settings regarding a beta version, try to opt in. If not, try a clean install of the game and mod. Check video settings, try toggling vsync if it's not on by default. You could also try clearing hkey registry by windows search > regedit > hkey_current_user > software > shining rock software > banished but this didn't help in my case.

Good luck to you!

Well, I:

* restarted my computer for an unrelated reason

* started the game today to get the exact error message text (not that it's much more informative)

* got the same error message before the game finished loading, even though the mod wasn't enabled

* removed the mod and the llamas only mod from the Windata folder

* started the game modless without errors

* put CC 1.7.5 back in the Windata folder

* started the game, enabled the mod, and then launched a new game

...and it loaded without any issues with the mod working. So, uh, that happened.

How has it been so far? Are you able to replicate it and get another working game session?

The old creek bridge only works in one direction as it seems.

One builder walked through the water to the other side of the creek to build it and afterwards the "missing a house" icon appeared overhead and he was not able to walk back to home using the finished bridge.

It works both ways IF both ends are firmly on soil. The problem is that there are some spots along streams where you are allowed to build it but one end doesn't quite have enough land on one side.  This is where DeBug is wonderful - allows you to plop down a finished bridge at no cost to save your citizen's life.

It hasn't been decided yet.  There's some good reasons to have people come here to download it. BL doesn't have to keep the various downloads up to date and people with questions will tend to come here. Users also become familiar with the other mods BL has created. Steam is notorious for the problems it has and in not being particularly good at protecting the works of modders from those who copy them and post them as their own.  But, a definite decision, one way or the other, hasn't been made yet.

I often check on Banished streames on Twitch.  I've seen about 10 people playing Colonial Charter.  Each one was playing 1.71.  I mentioned 1.75 and it being on this site and each and every one said they prefer the ease of steam.

If it doesn't go on steam I will be downgrading to 1.71 because that's what everyone else plays.

Use the most recent version of Banished 1.0.7. This is a really big file; depending on your computer, it could take 15 minutes to load. Some people find that changing to DX11 speeds it up considerably but others say it crashes.  You can also press alt + tab and see if that makes it load quicker.

This is why.    The really big file is the Mod..  Banished loads in nearly nothing flat, until you add the mod to it..  Any way back to this mod and Banished..  please look at the screen shots in order or you'll spoil it for yourselves

They can't even find their job when its right there with them

Fudge I'm as dum as the AI  I forgot to add the people after they were ququed up..  but  if you look you will see the builder happily working away on the Dock Storage and they will just walk off and leave, the Idlers won't they will die..  or suddenly see the light hopefully

I'm only running Banished and CC 1.75  v 1.07  on the standard ver of Banished 1.07

I've lost track of how long they've been there, it seems a few of them have left by the time I decided to do this little montage.. they should be hungry soon and then they will just go down the steps and leave.  I mean really you should consider how dum the AI of banished  is before you get to complicated, They are just wasting time and my putting a crimp in food production..

One of them did find there job went down cast his rod and left..

The one that is homeless  joined them as a Builder but she was a one hit wonder and then she was on the dock drug..

Edit I started a new game..

I'm going to add to this, Since the release of 1.75 I've had issues with on person getting stuck freezing and dying.  Now I have my second one that will die soon.  I've never had this issue in Banished or with Mods  lots of people have moved on and over the island, she is stuck on done work on it and got off fine.  I am using the Lake start  and  I needed to expand to a few of the islands.. to collect more materials.  Why  I mean 15 or 20 others have moved and worked on this island and she suddenly is stuck   I will try to upload my save game. I am using the mini mod made by one of the people that use this forums.  it not the issue here but I am using it I think that is the only other one I have running with 1.75 ver 1.07 normal game..  Okay I how I find the correct sav file they are saved in my game under the town name but they are all saved as numbered sav.. If I can find the correct one I will upload it. There must be some way to fix this  in ONI you can move your Dups when they get stuck, maybe  you or the creator of Banished  could add that if i can move her I'm sure she'd get off, just like the ONI Dups do, some times you need to move them in stages until they see the path..

On the Sawmill, is there any way to add a lumber amount, I don't want them making 1000 lumber just 100, but there are other buildings using that for storage also. but I'd still think we can   add individual stations like the lumber mill to a lower cap, and only need to raise them when we need too. If I have to babysit the lumber mill. The game will suffer.. because I can't watch it all at once and I will forget it capped at a 1000 and suddenly my wood will be caput. The way you did it before was better I don't care what anyone says.  I mean it year 5  I can't have them turning out 1k in lumber, it ruin the game.

run the mill for a while then switch the mill to firewood. when you want more lumber switch him again. there isn't much of a easy solution.we were lucky LUKE gave us the extra limits last year. there is so many itmes it is hard to balance them all.

The Sawpit makes 60 Lumber per year. You could use two of those instead of the regular sawmill. Once I build a Stacks Burner, I no longer use Lumber (you get 11 Charcoal from each Log, but only 4 Firewood).

What does the error say?  When you download the .rar file, you need to extract the file into a .pkm file. You can use a free program like 7-Zip File Manager if you don't have another program that does that. Then put the .pkm file into your Banished>Windata folder.

uM i NEED THE  lumber for the ,small quarry.. I don't like the return on the saw pit so I build the small sawmill early, the small plain one that uses only 2 workers?

I started on a small island it only had so much iron ore..  I've been building a dock slowly to the main lands to get a mine and clean the land of ore and stone.  it is  year 7 or later now, I just made the shore and all my workers back home went idle they even stopped making, fire wood almost completely. My units have not had tools in a very long time, no iron,   I did build a small housing unit far out on the dock, so workers can securely make the trip to help, but all that are going is 1 or 2 units of the dock community. the rest are all just wondering around, on the starting island,  this has happend with Cold  Realism mod and without the Cold Realism mod.. Why    CC 1.75  and the mini building mod made by Black Liquid,  Cold Realism or not..  Banished 1.07  non beta..  some one make up your minds on beta or no beta the CC 1.75 say 1.07 Banished, not Banished beta mod.  I turned off Mega mod  because the compat mod says its needs  1.07 beta..  and they haven't been playing very nice together..  so you have 3 items that all want something else from the other 2..

That is what i did, but, I shouln't have to babysit it...  I'm not making Charcoal at this time.. it takes to much man power I don't have it to spare so to speak..

Okay for the fun of it, I reloaded  compat 1.07B  CC1.75 1.07 and new Docks 1.07B  and I have Mini Building by Black Liquid  1.05B and MM 1.06 B  i think,  where does new Docks go after I installed it.  it show compa  with compat 1.07 B  but CC 1.75 is not compat and neither as is Mini Buildings, which I really need to play on an island.  MM 1.06 is also Compat now

Anyway the new Docks mod will it still even run if loaded after CC 1.75.  I did have a crash and moved it above CC 1.75 and it all loaded fine but. I don't see any new buildings

and mini building is working too  when New Docks was loaded after 1.75 there was a nice chimes from Win 10 telling me I was immediately out of memory.. and i miss clicked to get it but still. that resulted in Steam 64bit, biting the dust once again.

geez what is wrong with me, as soon as they make a new land they just die...  they get hungry and freeze in place, it says searching for food they aren't going to find any there..!!  they have to get back on the dock if they want food, but they can't move because why no food on the new land as of yet.. and they won't move to get on the dock, so well they just die.1!! I have no idea where the failure is but its a little hard to put food on the new land when they just got there..  They can't even build storage to house it  let alone harvest any..
