About This File

Here is the newest update, MegaMod 8.  Because of all of the changes with Banished 1.0.7, and the new Community Toolbar, I decided that it would actually be easier to rebuild MegaMod from the ground up, instead of trying to update the old version.  Because this is basically a brand new creation, this version is still in a very Beta state.  It plays fine, but there are probably bugs lurking here and there, so use at your own risk.

The download is a single 1.27 GB .RAR file, but you need to extract the .PKM files into your games WinData folder.

There are 3 (three) pkm files that you need.  If you don't have all 3, many things will be missing.

MegaMod1.pkm (1.61 GB)
MegaMod2.pkm (1.66 GB)
MegaMod3.pkm (980 MB)

(These file names subject to future changes)

Remember, the maximum file size of a single PKM file is 2 GB, so splitting it in 3 parts is the only way to get everything.

I can't guarantee that saves made with this version will be compatible with future updates.

Feel free to post bug reports.  Depending on the volume, I may not respond to every single post, but I will read them all.  If you do post a bug report, please make a note of any other mods that you are using, with special care paid to the ones that you load above MM.

I have attempted to include every mod that I can.  I'm still waiting on a few modders to get back to me, but I wanted to post this beta in the meantime.  So just because your favorite mod isn't included doesn't mean that it won't be in the future.  That being said, this mod doesn't, and won't, include certain optional mods that change the way the game looks or behaves.  Aging mods; Storage mods; Texture changing mods; Inedible food mods.  Mods like this won't be included because those kinds of mods are best left up to individual player discretion.

A list of mods that are included in MM8 can be found HERE

This set of mods includes everything you need.  You are free to remove or disable any individual mod (including CC 1.75) that is included in MM.  You are free to remove or disable the pair of mods of MM7.

Non-comprehensive changelog:

  • Updated and added new mods that came out since Beta 1

      Fixed:

  • Beekeeper buildings crashing
  • Crop Field Pickup Button
  • Storage Cart cant store fuel
  • Blacksmith UI
  • Lumber storage issues

  • Tropical Greenhouse storage issues

Did you extract the files from the .rar file, and take the resulting 3 .pkm files out of the folder and put them in your Banished > WinData Folder?  Did you go into Banished and make sure the 3 mods are listed in order and check them? Then did you exit completely? Then go back in and start a new game?

The WinData folder should NOT be under Documents (the Save folder does belong there) - that's why it looks to me like you created one.  The location of mine is:  This PC > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Banished > WinData.

Fantastic!  Just copy the files to there.  Any more problems, let us know.

The list is mega long, but sadly not accessible without logging in ...

I couldn't find it but is there a mod in for infinite resources (I find it so unrealistic how fast the mines go)? If not, what would you recommend me without it braking the game?

If you looked at the PDF of the list in the forum it should now be in your Downloads so you will not have to log in again to view it. Actually,  you didn't need to log on to see the list - a copy of the PDF file was included in the .rar file.

The CC mines can all be upgraded. When level 1 runs out, you can upgrade it to Level 2 using Candles. When Level 2 runs out, you can upgrade to Level 3 using Lamp Oil.  Level 3 does not run out.  I checked the mod descriptions for Discrepancy's Tunnel Mine and those in Blast Furnace & Industry Mines -  those can be upgraded too. I wouldn't be surprised if other mines can be upgraded too but I'm not familiar with all of the mods included in MM8-2.

Are the toolbar icons gone? I noticed all the vanilla game icons are back to normal with vanilla items and then there is an icon that opens up a bar with an icon for each individual modder. is this how it is supposed to be set up?

This is the new toolbar for MM8 - 2. Please answer this quick survey:  Are you saying: (1) "What were you all thinking?" or (2) "Wow, why didn't you think of this before?"

There's no right or wrong answer 9_9

Um. I'm not a huge fan of it right now, mainly bc I had gotten so used to the way it was before and its terribly hard to find things. But I'm sure once I get used to it it will be fine. I was just making sure that the mod was working correctly.

@ Kralyerg :D When testing MM8 beta 2, I detected errors or crashes - the game freezes when building buildings:
1.Tequila Distillery - Kid
2.Fantasy Castle -Kid
3.Library -RK
4.Little Chapel -RK - attention! I played with a beetle - a dead building has no interface and a circle of luck, you can not remove the building
without a beetle - workers put on fundamets and at this stage the end of building, the building can be removed. is the wheel of happiness
5. Shift windows on the bar - black breaks - but they do not cause any errors - graphic design "Narrow Storade Warehouses" and "General Storage Warehouses - DS
I will continue to test. Cheers!xD

To add a mod to MM8, Kralyerg needs to receive the original code for that mod from the modder.  Some modders did not provide code for some or all of their mods.

There are some mods included in MM8 that have a small hunter and a small fishing dock. At the far right of the CC toolbar are Mini Buildings which includes a Hunter and a Fisherman that can be built for just 10 logs.  Kid1293's Forest Outpost includes a Hunter and a Fishing Spot that can be built for 16 Logs.  There could be others, but these are the ones I've used in the past.

@ Kralyerg :D When testing MM8 beta 2, I detected errors or crashes - the game freezes when building buildings:

1.GF Farm - Jam House - Kid

2.Mineral Processing - Blast Furnace -DS - there is only a black trace - the workers do not build this object

@estherhb :D You're right - you can add 2 modsToma - "Hunting" and "Fly Fishing" - they work

@Kralyerg I have a question if you can fish - add different species of fish?:shape12:Regards:D

I have a couple questions only lightly related to bugs, sorry I didn't notice this statement in the description before: "You are free to remove or disable any individual mod (including CC 1.75) that is included in MM."

MM is chock-a-block with goodies, so many things that the variety of gameplay can be pretty endless. However there's a handful if items I have never used in game. I admire their beauty and creativity, but they usually don't fit with the utilitarian agricultural utopias I like to build.

How do I disable one of the mods included in MM...?

Are there any performance benefits to disabling one or more mods, especially while MM8 is in beta? I wouldn't like to disable CC, but might for a while because their stacked houses - some of the new shops and businesses therein are crashy for me. (Just like the tiny beehive stand did, they build fine, but clicking to assign workers crashes the game.)

Thank you
