Released

Updated for CC 1.7x and MegaMod 0.07.

User Feedback

I've set a kind of challenge for myself, I want to go Bonkers for Bakeries. I want to build 15 bakeries and set them to produce everything but hardtack (I don't like it - don't know why.) I'm still planning the layout, but I think they will be in a 3x5 grid with enough space between to allow houses to fill each happiness radius. Gonna need a large flat map! Beyond their residential zones (in the happiness radii) will be their production chains (crops, mills, pastures, etc.) I want donuts, but I usually don't do presses (oil or olive) because they seem too much work. But pink icing with colored jimmies? Gotta have donuts...

Soup kitchens and pub meals are a step in the direction of restaurants, but one day maybe my little banished folk will be able to craft Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Onions, peppers, cheese, steak, hoagie - yum!

hardtack is needed if you run the fort.othersie i look at it that hardtack is like crackers. you have an interesting idea of building all the different baked goods. i want to take a map and use all my mods in it. every individual piece. i have started it several times but never completed. always end up adding a mod and rearranging my mod order. or as i just did finda glitch that errors and kicks me out.

I am having fun with my Bonkers for Bakeries.

Only got ten bakeries in this town, perfectly spaced for happiness radii. Crop fields and pastures doing okay, but frustrated by how many friesian cows I need to generate butter for croissants. Maybe use domesticated animal pens more next time. Can't keep up with soybean demand for vegetable oil press, but not giving up on my donuts!

Medium start map gave sorghum seeds but later I turned to rice because no other grain has quite the yield as rice paddy on water... Now I have no shortage of sake either!

ohh i understand those problems. thats never ending, more you try to grow a town and go 1 direction, the game has you going its own direction. the amount of space just to feed the banis is crazy for sure. only thing that might help is make sure you have barns near the fields and find a good field size to get the most per worker. i usually do 10x10 and average about 500 each. i get more than that on most fields but it mAKES for easy math when playing.plus i like having a safety net.the other thing you could do is buy all the food you can. and hope the banis eat that 1st.good luck.

yerah some will be affected but not all. the game doesn't always use the above mod to override the 1's below in the mod order.

The description of the mod says it affects CC and NMT bakeries. Bakeries from other mods are not affected.

Tried to add Bakery Plus to my game, and it crashes when I click on 'mods' option in game menu -- 'A fatal error has occurred in runtime-steam-x64.dll and the game can not continue'. When I remove Bakery Plus from WinData folder, the game works just fine.

I run Banished 1.0.7 beta with CC 1.75, CC No Smoke, Ridiculous Storage, Unhappiness Radius, and a bunch of Inedible Food mods. Maybe something's not compatible with the Bakery Plus?

@tulip Make sure you have the entire file, that the size of the file matches with what is listed.  Sometimes a mod looks completely downloaded, however it's not the case.
Also, what version of Banished are you running, and what other main mods are you running?  MM or CC?

Oops! My downloaded file was only 2.8 MB, not 3.06 MB as listed in the description. I've re-downloaded the file, checked the size and tried it out in the game. Everything works perfectly now. Time to bake some delicious pastries for my peasants :D

Thank you so much for the help! Will check file sizes in the future, to avoid unpleasant surprises.
