About This File

A complete gameplay expansion. After countless hours of development and testing, we are proud to bring you Colonial Charter 1.6 - The Forge Awakens

Download:

After clicking Download you will be redirected to google drive files and see this icon downloadicon.jpg at the top right corner of a new page. Click it to download.

Installing:
Disable/Delete any previous version of Colonial Charter, enable Colonial Charter The Forge Awakens in the mod menu.

NEW GAMES ONLY:
CC: The Forge Awakens does require a new game.

Introduction:

New content is everywhere in this release, almost doubling in size from New Frontier. We expanded the mining and industry options considerably, provide new and beautiful options for your town/village whilst enhancing and optimising the decorations and existing trees from past versions. We also provide a range of new crops whilst splitting the old duplicate crops off into their own addon pack.

In CC: The Forge Awakens you'll mine for tin and copper, build an array of new and beautiful homes and get family and industry set up right on top of the lakes and rivers. An all new quay wall construction system will allow you to create seamless designs of any style. Farming inedible crops gets a whole lot easier, build a plantation for your cotton/flax/tobacco/etc and adjust your dry goods limits accordingly. There is a whole host of new buildings and options, and we've tweaked existing buildings to be more crisp without sacrificing performance.

A lot of features have been simplified whilst at the same time becoming more complex, allowing for a large number of options. Constructing new buildings for the most part no longer requires large chains of bricks, glass, joists etc. Whilst we havent removed any of these resources from the game, they are now used to create generic Building Supplies - essential for any advanced construction project.

We hope you'll enjoy playing Colonial Charter 1.6 - it was a lot of hard work involving many hours of creation and testing. Easily our most challenging mod to date. Friends and family were ignored for prolonged periods of "One... More... Turn..." as well as "I think this would look good... what happens if we add this new feature?". We hope to put the same amount of distance between you and your loved ones this holidays, for all the right reasons of course! :)

Hello. This looks really great. I tried downloading the mod and put the .pkm file in the correct folder, start the game and enable the mod and reload the game, but the screen goes black for ten seconds and I get a blank error message. I tried the MegaMod as well, and the problem was the same. All other mods work. I'm using a MacBook Air and playing through Steam and Wine.

Do you have any suggestions?

Best

Hello,

I own a GOG version of Banished (1.0.6) and have been happily using New Frontier for some months. I have just downloaded the Forge Awakens from the Download link on this page, extracted it and placed the .pkm file in the same folder as New Frontier (Banished\WinData).

When I launched Banished and went in the Mods menu, NF displayed properly (as usual) but TFA did not even appear as TFA. It has no title, "BlackLiquid Team" is absent, its description only contains "m", and the version is 162 (1.0.5). I tried to enable it and start a new game to see what would happen. It launches, but the settings for the new game (environment, distasters, etc.) are vanilla, and the game is vanilla as well. I tried to remove the NF file and only keep the TFA file, same problem.

I can't figure out the problem. Can you please tell me what I could do to have the mod work? Thank you very much!

Disable/Delete any previous version of Colonial Charter, enable Colonial Charter The Forge Awakens in the mod menu.

You cannot run two versions at the same time. It is also not needed, because any new version contains everything that was in a previous version...

Paeng, I thought it would be the cause, but I removed NF from the WinDara folder and nothing changed (as I stated

in my previous post).

I searched a bit more, and I got it. The problem was that my shortcut for Banished was lauching version 1.0.4 and not 1.0.6, but as I had installed version 1.0.6 just before downloading TFA I thought it was OK. I found the right shortcut, put the .pkm file in the Win64\WinData folder in Banished, and everything runs perfectly.

My apologies for the inconvenience, I hope this will help someone though.

Is there a way to know if the mod is enabled? I downloaded it, made sure it was enabled and started a new game, but it looks like it always has!

Nevermind.. derp.

Hey, did file does not specify which Banished version I should run with?

I run 1.0.4. I have extracted the .pkm file into the WinData folder, but nothing shows up in my mods folder, how come?

@k1076118@mvrht.com 1.0.4 is extremely outdated, the latest version is 1.0.7 beta.
The recommendation is to update it to at least 1.0.6 which you can do from the original place of purchase, just download the current file in your account history.
