This smudgy stuff (underlined in small screen snip) appears sometimes on lakes, and usually covering much smaller areas. It does not hinder or alter the game in any way I can tell, and while game is playing, it doesn't seem to be visible. It seems to be visible on map overviews only. I am posting this in case it has happened to anyone else, or if anyone knows what it is. This one seems quite a bit larger than I've seen before.
KevinTheCynic posted a topic in General Colonial Charter DiscussionSo has anyone else noticed this? It's not any sort of gamebreaking bug, more a minor glitch. I updated to CC 1.74 yesterday and while making a screenshot today for the map seed @TuffDwarf was discussing in the Map Seeds & Interesting Maps section, I noticed that the [CC] Very Large map size does not show on the map information display. However it shows up when using the other sizes, see screenshots below (first is the Very Large size from CC, the second is the Large size supplied with the game).
Hi all, Map seeds, is there a pattern to them? Is there a format for certain content? For the last few maps I've been getting sheep, I had one chicken last week, but it's been sheep, sheep & more sheep, and whilst I do love sheep as a starter, I was wondering if there is anything in the seed sequence that determines the animals? I know with some mods they 'assist' in the determination of the animals, but if I don't specify a 'start' with the animal, and I leave it to random, how does it generate? Cheers
