Thanks for the explanation on the percentage! I was aware of how nomads otherwise work, just not what the % meant in the sign.

Actually, I mean the themed swamp set, from KID. The building is Swamp Reed Bundler. I had a warehouse and Swamp reed bundler right next to each other, the warehouse containing a few hundred reeds. The worker was diligently gathering reeds from the warehourse, depleting that to less than 100 reeds, but the swamp reed bundler building never gained anything into it's inventory, and the worker never worked there. No bundles were made at all.

The problem with the Tiny House was that they kept topping it up to nearly 300 firewood, depleting all available firewood. If they rushed because firewood was low... then why did no other household do that? The firewood was constantly 0 to 50 in storage because of that one household. After removing the Tiny House and replacing with something else, the problem stopped.

Also, how are the transit stoages meant to work? I placed a Iron Transit storage next to my small smelter, and it never received any iron in it. I love the covered look.

Thanks for the Stack burner tip! I'll be sure to make one soon. I usually go with Reed Bundles to save up on logs.

Hey,

Is there a forester in mm8 who doesnt have a storage inside? Or only stores wood? Right now the foresters get full with iron.. It seems to slow them down, even with a wood stockpile next to it. Also my town keeps saying i dont have enough iron. I dont think they grab it from the forester.

Most Foresters do not have storage including the vanilla Forester, the one that's part of kid1293's Forest Outpost, and those from Red Ketchup. Logs are stored in stockpiles.  In MM8, iron ore is gathered from the ground and must be processed to become Iron by a foundry, forge, small iron smelter, etc. Maybe you have lots of Iron Ore but aren't producing Iron?  

If this doesn't solve the issue, please let me know exactly which forester you are using and if you are using any other mods. (Also, make sure you're using MM 8.01 and Banished v 1.0.7.)

That is weird.. I tried most foresters i could find even the vanilla one (in the SR tab) the iron gets stored in the foresters, not iron ore.. So i had 400 iron in one forester and they refused to get it.. Only the warehouse to stuff things in with a worker grabbed it. 

I do have ridiculous storage as a mod. 

I used to have the improved forester but its not an activated mod. It was not activated  the last 3 maps i played on.

Note that in MM, as in CC, the "iron" found on the ground is Iron Ore. Iron Ore must be smelted to make Iron at either a Foundry, Forge or the Small Iron Smelter.  Maps usually start with a small amount of Iron and it is easy to use that up.  Which building are you using to make Iron?

The Forester will gather Stone and Iron Ore while they are clearing the area inside their work circle so they can plant trees.  The window for the Forester shows the Iron Ore gathered.  However, they don't store it. They take it to a stockpile.  Do you have a stockpile with room in it near your Forester?  

If this doesn't help, please provide a picture of the Forester with the open window showing the Iron that is being stored there.

Hey,

I started new map but this one got it too.

Ps: i always remove all iron ore and stone before using the forester. There is a stockpile on the left for logs only.

My last town said iron was low. I had 400 iron so i looked where i had it stored. It was nowhere to be found untill i saw it in one forester.

Are you using the Improved Forester mod by Yanderson or any other mods besides MM 8.01 and Ridiculous Storage?  

Are you using the Iron is Iron mod?  If not, which building are you using to smelt Iron Ore into Iron?

I do have the improved forester mod, but its not enabled for last weeks.. (Real life weeks). And i havent even enabled it on this particular laptop. Im not using iron is iron mod. Im using the small iron smelter ( ill look up the name of this building... - it's actually called Small Iron Smelter)

I'm in the middle of a game using CC and about 40 mods, so I decided to load up MegaMod on my husband's computer/Steam account.  Little did I realize that he hasn't played in quite a while and still had 50 or so out of date mods loaded and had never uploaded MM.  It was incredibly slow to start especially considering that his computer is better than mine. So I switched him from DX9 to DX11 and crashed the game. Heck Ned.  Anyway, I finally got it running so I could check out the Foresters.

Apparently MM8 includes the Improved Foresters mod - but it doesn't apply to all of the Foresters. It modifies the vanilla Forester under SR (ShiningRock) and also found under the Resource tab on the Main Menu. It also affects the other forester shown in your picture. It does not modify the Colonial Charter Foresters found under the Resource Production tab on the main menu, such as New Trees, Pines, Palm Trees, etc.; they do not have storage.  I didn't check the Foresters made by other modders.

Can you please put all the housing, food items, etc, etc, back in their proper tabs? Instead of having to go to that themed set to find it. Most of the time I'm: "hey, I need a food thing here, lets see what my options are". Now I have to click through all the sets to see the different options, then plan my area. Instead of planning my area then seeing what will fit, or seeing at a glance what there is. It takes forever. Plus, most of the stuff in the main tabs (housing for example), I never use and will never use. So now it's almost useless to me. Or the greenhouses. There's 3-4 sets that have greenhouses. So to find a greenhouse, I need to either remember what set it is, or else click through them all. If most people don't want them all in the main tabs, then can we have an extra optional file we can download for this? I understand having some separated, like the old outdated mods, but there's more in that one tab than not...

Also, there's two entries in the themed sets tab for the tiny row houses. They're on their own, plus they're in with the other row houses.

Do we need a mod collection tab? Aren't they already in the proper tabs? O.o (Actually asking what the difference is)

Not trying to sound demanding or ungrateful. I love you guys and your brilliance. Just confused. And a little frustrated. I expect a little relearning/ getting used to a new build, but this one is yo-yo-ing between 'I LOVE THIS' and "Whyyy does it take so much work to demand a tiny thing from my pretend little ant people!???". Lol. xD

I was disappointed to learn that there isn't a single file that creates the toolbars which would make it much easier to organize them. Most mods these days are set up to be listed under the Community Toolbar by Modder. The Modder determines how those listings are done. Kralyerg has made an attempt to also put things under the regular toolbar so houses are listed together, foresters are together, etc.  The problem is what do you do with themed sets?  If I'm building a dock town, I want everything listed together; however, I often use these pieces (especially the market, houses, workshop, etc.) on ground with regular buildings. So, should those be listed separately too?  That's going to mean that any item in a set will need to be included in 3 places: in the Community toolbar, under Themed Sets and under the "regular" toolbar. The fact is that this is a hell of a lot of work and Kralyerg is one person. It's awfully helpful if you're already familiar with the mods that are in there - but how many people have played with all 200+ mods?  If there's a lot in MM that you don't want to use, you could do as some of us do. Play MM to find out what mods you like, then switch to using CC, along with the 40 or so mods you especially like.  Over time, I would expect that it will all become better organized - but keep in mind that "better" is in the eye of the gamer.

I also use the dock pieces on land, but I know there's a house, market, storage, etc, from that set, so I go to house, then find the dock. But I see what you're saying.

Instead of having a themed tab, if we need a modders tab, (I don't remember who made what, so that's not going to get used. Lol. :) ) couldn't we have the sets under the modder instead of a themed set button? So they'd be in two places, the regular tab and the modder. Change the Themed tab to a Misc tab like the last CC for modders who only have one-two things.

Like the row houses for example; they're one of my favorites. But couldn't the houses just be put into the houses tab because they have their own sub tab? The 'supporting' buildings could have a tab when you open up the industry tab.

I'm almost tempted to go back to the CC 7 and just add in stuff from here. But that's a pain to add in all the stuff and then try to keep it all updated. First I'd have to play enough to learn the new stuff, figure out what's it is / called, and then find out who made it and where to get it. And every mod makes it longer to load. Wish I knew how to just change the menu tabs myself. :( 

All things considered, two complaints with the whole set up isn't bad. It's just that the one complaint is what the whole gameplay is set up around. Lol.

I figured even if these guys are too busy, no ones going to make one if no one knows it's wanted, right? Maybe someone else will. :)

Hi all , i desperately need some help here. 

I keep getting a Fatal Access Error every time I try to use the Debug Menu. As soon as I click on it my game crashes.

I have tried changing the DX versions... Error on both 

I have tried changing Terrain size. Small, Medium, Large and Very Large...Error on all 

I can't figure out the problem.

Yup.   And as I have said I have done everything I can find to do to fix this.  Been at it it since Yesterday. 

I guess uninstalling, re-downloading, and re-installing everything is the only option I have left.
